Review: Curlformers
Do you know them? Did you hear about these things? I'm talking about Curlformers! Curlformers are a new way to curl your hair without heat and damage. It's been three months since I own them. I don't use them so often, but I don't regret the sixty dollars. I'm not getting paid to recommend them. This is my own opinion about them.
Curlformers come in a set of forty Formers in two different colors and two hooks. But you can also get other sets with other sizes and colors. Click here to see all their products.
My father didn't understand the price. He said "Why do you spend so much money for plastic?" Haha, well... I think it is not a cheap plastic. I'm not good in chemical fabrics, but it's definetly a qualitative hard plastic. You can stretch the Curlformer as much as you can: They won't loose their structure!
How do I use these things? It's super easy. I've watched a few tutorials on YouTube before I got them. So you just take a Curlformer and push it into the hook. Then you place the hook on a section of (damp) hair and slice it trough the Curlformer. I'm not very good at describing this. I recommend to watch some Video Tutorials :)
I took some pictures a while ago. These show the result after one night.
But I wouldn't say it's comfortable to sleep in them. Well, to be honest: It's horrible. The good thing about Curlformers is, that they just need about two hours to "dry". You can read a good book, relax, do homework... As you can tell by the picture below, the result is really good. Perfect curls. And if you don't like them so ringly, you could brush the curls or whatever.

The curls hold super long. I never had curls that hold the whole day. These do! And the second day you have nice waves. Extra plus: You don't use any heat products and achieve less damage, but a beautiful result. I made the curls for the celebration of my mother's master and everyone asked me about my curls.
That's it, my first review. Hope it was interesting to read.
And please don't forget to ask me your question for the upcoming Q&A post!
Much love and good sleep, Sophia

Well I already have curly hair but the results look amazing!
ReplyDeletewow, didnt know that it works so well! your hair looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteI NEED these in my life! I'm only worried that I have too much hair - it's rellt thick and down to my hips when it's straight. But I'm wrecking it with my silly hot curling tongs. I may have to investigate...
ReplyDelete@binia: I have thick hair, too. But forty Curlformers are a lot! If I make tight curls I need all forty. But if I make looser curls, I just need twenty or so :) Of course it takes more time to curl forty sections of hair.
ReplyDeleteOMG amazing!!! I think I need to invest. Thank you for showing how to use them. When my hair is finally grown out a bit I'll definitely snag some.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
